Our Story
We come from the trading floor.
AIC was founded by a team that spent over two decades buying and selling polymers and chemicals across global markets. We lived the inefficiencies firsthand.
Sourcing was slow. Negotiations dragged through congested email threads and WhatsApp chains. Buyers could only manage a handful of vendors at a time, and vendors could only serve their biggest accounts. Information was siloed—restricted market feedback meant decisions were often based on stale or incomplete data. Supply options stayed limited because nobody had the bandwidth to discover new ones.
And the problems didn't stop once the deal was signed. The logistics that followed were just as manual—chasing documents, tracking containers across spreadsheets, catching errors that led to costly detention and demurrage charges. Every shipment was a coordination exercise held together by email and willpower.
We built our platforms to change that. First came Mecatera—a marketplace designed to compress the sales cycle and give polymer and chemicals buyers and vendors transparent access to a wider market, with built-in shipment management so the deal and the delivery live on one platform. Then we realized the logistics pain we'd solved for our own industry was universal. Every importer, exporter, and trader—regardless of what they ship—was fighting the same manual chaos. So we built Naviflow—a standalone operations platform for shipment management across all sectors.
Same founding team. Two platforms: one for how you trade, and one for how you ship.
